EQUIP Bible Reading Q & A (8/24/2022)
Date: 8/24/2022 (Wed)
Scripture: 1 Samuel 6-15
Questions that were raised after the reading:
- In 1 Sam. 13:14, Samuel tells Saul that his "kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought out a man after his own heart." We know that person is David. But why is David "a man after God's own heart" when he seemingly commits a bigger sin (adultery and murder)?
- In 1 Sam. 15:10, 35, it says that God regrets his decisions. What does that mean when it says "God regretted that he had made Saul king over Israel"? Does God still regret today?
