Pastor Sam Park | Lead Pastor
Pastor Sam serves as the Lead Pastor at OIKOS LA. He graduated from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.S. in Cognitive Science. Currently, Pastor Sam is working on his Master of Divinity degree at Talbot School of Theology. In his free time, Pastor Sam enjoys reading books, watching movies, and playing sports. His passion is to preach the Word of God to help the Church connect with God and connect with others one week at a time. Pastor Sam's responsibilities as the Lead Pastor of Oikos LA is to teach and shepherd the members of OIKOS LA to live out the Gospel in their individual lives and to grow in their love and relationship with Jesus. His favorite food is kimchi jjiggae and watermelon! Go Warriors!
Mark Kim | Worship Leader
Mark Kim graduated from University of California Riverside, receiving a B.S. in Computational Mathematics. He loves to sing and listen to music, specifically listening to the artist Shane and Shane. He also keeps multiple aquatic tanks, which all hold shrimp. He is the Worship Leader for OIKOS LA and serves together with Assistant Worship Leader Joe Kim to invite OIKOS LA into worship every week. His favorite food is a nice burger with medium thickness fries.
Yerim Lee | Events Coordinator
Yerim graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Computing and Digital Technologies. Now she is a product designer specializing in software design. Yerim enjoys spending quality time with friends, family, and her cat. She is passionate about self expression and product management. Her role in leadership is Events Coordinator, which means that she manages the events at OIKOS LA. Yerim’s current favorite food is bossam with soybean stew.
Frank Chung | Welcoming Director
Frank is originally from New Jersey and graduated from the University of Notre Dame as an accounting major. He is now working at a recruiting firm as part of their accounting team. Frank enjoys spending time with his wife and cat in his free time, as well as playing basketball and getting meals with his friends. As the Welcoming Director, Frank aims to create a space where people feel comfortable to meet and worship Jesus, both through worship and community. With this goal in mind, the Welcoming Team welcomes and introduces newcomers to the existing members in the congregation, so that newcomers can connect to OIKOS LA as part of our spiritual family. Frank’s favorite food is white rice! He loves when he can enjoy a bowl of freshly cooked rice that can be paired with so many other foods. The versatility of rice!
Joseph Kim | Media Director
Joseph (most will call him Joe) has been at this church for 17 years and serving for 10. He is currently pursuing his passion for graphic design at Santa Monica College. He has many creative hobbies such as: drawing, designing, singing, and playing guitar. Outside of those hobbies, he enjoys playing basketball, playing with his cat, and eating good food with his friends! Joe feels privileged to serve as Media Team Director to develop and oversee impactful, quality media for weekly Sunday worship and special events. This includes anything you see on our instagram, photos/videos, designs, and more! Joe really enjoys fried rice because of its versatility and ease of preparation. Alternatively, In-N-Out will always be his all time favorite bang for buck meal.
