Hurricane Ida arrived in Port Fourchon, La., around noon Sunday (August 29th) as a Cateogry 4 storm. With winds of 150 mph, Ida is one of the strongest storms to hit the mainland United States.
Ida's landfall last Sunday left a wake of destruction and suffering. More than 1 million people were without electricity immedately after the storm - a hardship that, for some, could last weeks.
At least 63 people have died and total damage is estimated at $95 billion.
Please pray for those affected by the Hurricane Ida.
