Title: Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality

Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe it's 2022 already. When did we get here, right? I pray that in this new year you may root yourself in God who is our Protector, Keeper, and Preserver of our lives.

For the first Book of the Month in 2022, I asked Pastor Jane for a recommendation and highly recommended Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality by Donald Miller.

Blue Like Jazz

The book is an older book as it came out in 2003, but Blue Like Jazz still has revelance for Christians today.

From the book's introduction:

"In this intimate, non-judgmental, and soul-searching account, Miller describes his remarkable journey with and back to the infinitely loving God, helping you (1) discover how the Christian faith is still revenant in a postmodern culture; (2) learn how to have a genuine encounter with a God who is real; and (3) enjoy a renewed sense of passion for your life. Blue Like Jazz is a gentle, honest resource for those curious about the Christian faith, or new to it, and offers a fresh and original perspective on life, love, and redemption."

Rooting for you,

Pastor Daniel
