What should I expect when I get there?

Once you reach the 3rd floor of our building, you will be greeted by our friendly Welcoming Team. They will hand you a Sunday program sheet specific to that week's service, a nametag, and a Connection Card. They will direct you to either the lounge room where people chat before service or the chapel where people pray and get their hearts ready before service. At 1:30PM, we start service with praise. Service ends at about 2:45PM. Please see below for the order for Sunday Service.

What should I expect after service?

We usually host some fellowship after service so that our community can grow closer together. About half the time, we have a structured fellowship event like our monthly Boba and Board Games event or a Birthday Celebration with cake and pizza. Other times, we just provide snacks and drinks, so that people are free to hang out and chat in our lounge room. Please check out our Events page to see what events we have upcoming! 

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. Is it safe to come visit? We hold in-person & online Sunday services. We highly encourage everyone to join us for our in-person services, but for those would prefer to stay home, everything is online as well. 
  2. Where is the church located? OIKOS LA is located at 964 S. Berendo Street, Los Angeles, CA 90006. We are located on the third floor of the Education Center. For directions, click here. For how to get to our chapel once you arrive, click here.
  3. What about parking? We have parking lots available for you! We have 2 parking gates on Berendo Street that should be easy to see when approaching the church, feel free to park your car there during Sunday service and any fellowship after.
  4. Do I need to dress up? No, just come as you are! Some dress business casual, some in a t-shirt & jeans. Everyone is welcome!
  5. What if I am not a Christian? No problem! We want to be a church that can help anyone learn, grow and explore faith.
  6. What happens after service? Our Welcoming Team would love to welcome you and connect you with other members of our church. Please free feel to connect with us, ask us questions about our church, programs, events or anything else. 
  7. How do I get plugged in? We invite you to join us for our Wednesday Bible Studies, participate in our Bible Reading Plan, play sports with us, find a place to serve or join us for upcoming events.
